Our EWBS STB not only supports terrestrial digital broadcasting but also enables the reception and display of emergency disaster information. (Compatible with digital and analog TVs)

When our STB receives an EWBS signal while in standby mode, it automatically turns on TV (*1) and plays a warning alert and voice message.
*1 Only TVs with HDMI's CEC function are supported. -

What is EWBS?
The Emergency Warning Broadcasting System (EWBS) is a system that transmits emergency disaster information via broadcast waves when a natural disaster occurs such as earthquake and tsunami.
To transmit emergency disaster information, it requires for anyone to receive reliable information anytime, anywhere.
The terrestrial broadcasting waves have five technologically superior features that meet these requirements.
Terrestrial broadcasting of TV and radio are operated as a public medium for transmitting information in every country in the world.
By leveraging existing terrestrial broadcasting infrastructure, you can deploy EWBS easily and cost-effectively.
- Wide Coverage
- Because terrestrial broadcasting is a public service, it covers most countries and a large portion of their landmass.
The coverage of EWBS aligns with the existing broadcasting wave coverage because it utilizes these waves.
- Robust Transmission
and Reception - Broadcasting facilities are constructed to be highly robust so that radio waves will not be interrupted, enabling stable and sustainable operation even during disaster.
